YHWH (Yahweh) and Satan, (the Adversary)
is it YHWH (Yahweh) (as) Satan, (or as an Adversary)?
There is One True Mighty-One[1] (God) only One. "Hear Israel: Yahweh our Mighty-One, Yahweh is One! (Deu. 6:4). Israel is told "Do not go after other mighty ones, the mighty ones of the peoples who are all around you, for Yahweh your Mighty-One is a jealous Mighty-One in your midst, lest the displeasure of Yahweh your Mighty-One burn against you, then He shall destroy you from the face of the earth." (Deu. 6:14-15); "understand that I (Yahweh) am He. Before Me there was no Mighty-One formed, nor after Me there is none. I, I am Yahweh, and besides me there is no Savior" (Isa. 43:10-11). It is very clear from the Hebrew Bible that "there is no other Mighty-One (God) but the One" who is named Yahweh.
There is only One Yahweh Alueim (G-d), and only one. Is He also the Creator?
Let's find out exactly who the Creator is. The very first verse of the Hebrew Scriptures tells us; "In the beginning Alueim created the heaven and the earth." Since "Alueim" is a plural noun meaning, (mighty-ones, powers) this does not clearly identify the Creator, so we need more information. Gen. 2: 4 reads, "These are the births of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that Yahweh Alueim (mighty-one, power) made the earth and heavens." If Genesis Chapter two is a continuation of Genesis Chapter one, It is quite clear here in this passage that the Alueim (mighty-ones, powers) “plural” of Gen. 1:1 are members of Yahweh’s heavenly host, and that Yahweh, is indeed THE Creator. “He alone-singular” caused-directed the Universe to come into existence, by way of His created “mighty-ones, powers.”
Yahweh the Creator alone is SELF-Existent, (He is the original-originator). He is First of all things (Isa. 41:4), and He alone is Creator (Ps 146:5-6). This being a basic truth direct from the Hebrew Bible, we must conclude that ALL that has existence must have come into being by Yahweh, and through His appointed might-ones, powers, i.e. His created heavenly host.
Satan/serpent
The word serpent in Gen. 2:1 is not what is commonly referred to as a snake. The Hebrew word is “Nachash” and it is wrongly translated as ‘Serpent’. Nachash means "a shinning enchanter" in English, and must also be a product of Yahweh’s Creation. The word “Nachash” is not a name, but it is a description. "Now the Nachash was shrewd above every living thing of the field (earth life) that Yahweh Alueim made" (Gen. 3:1). Note: This is the same created individual that talked the woman Eve into disobeying Yahweh in the Garden of Eden. The offspring (descendants) of the Nachash, and the offspring, of the woman Eve (and Adam) will have hatred between them (Gen. 3:15). In other-words, the ‘adversary pressure’ placed upon the descendants of Adam and Eve (Adamites) by the descendants of the Nachash is to remain continuous and the result is hatred. The Nachash descendants are adversaries (satan's) toward the Adamic descendants.
This matter of Yahweh creating the Nachash is very important and requires some very serious thought, because in it lies the whole cause of Adams disobedient entrance into the arranged plan of Yahweh’s Creation (universe). You see, Yahweh is an Alueim of purpose. He says, "My counsel does stand, and all My delight I do" (Isa.46: 10). "And I have created the waster to destroy" (Isa.54: 16). The Nachash people are simply in the plan of Yahweh and were created to perform a specific purpose all in accordance with the Creator’s will.
Did Yahweh create the Nachash and his descendants just as an experiment?
Did Yahweh know, being the all-wise Creator what the result would be. Yes, He knew what the outcome would be, He knew the result, and it was just as He had planned it. Yahweh did not create a universe or our planet, and then turn it loose to see what would happen. He watches each one of His creatures very closely. There is nothing that occurs without His foreknowledge. Yahweh knows what will occur from the beginning of time, just as though it had already occurred. His knowledge is unlimited, knowing the end from the beginning, (Isa.46: 10).
Yahweh in His wisdom saw the need for an adversary(s) and opponent(s) to work counter to His purpose, and to undertake attempts to overthrow His ultimate plan of the salvation and receive praise from His creation. So, we see that that an adversary and even Bad itself, is in Yahweh’s plan. Without opposition, Yahweh could never show His superiority, or His love. This fact is simple when we think of it. Yahweh needs sin and wickedness in order to have an opportunity to show to the creation (His universe), His mighty power over any adversaries. If the Pharaoh of Egypt had not been motivated by an Bad spirit he would not have held the children of Israel in bondage. All occurred so that Yahweh might show to the Creation His power over this adversary(s). Pharaoh’s heart was made stubborn by Yahweh so that He could display His authority to the Israelites, (Gen. 10:1-2).
There are many events recorded in Scripture, where Yahweh used an adversary (a satan) to carry out His purpose. It is evident that even Judas himself would not have been strong enough to have betrayed the Messiah Yahshua (Jesus), but he was fortified by the Adversary, (Luke 22:3). Only then was he able to betray Yahshua. In this way Yahweh’s plan for Yahshua was again completed.
We can never appreciate the good, if it were not contrasted with bad.
If we have not known darkness, we would not appreciate the light. We must first be hungry to enjoy good food. Yahweh could never have worked out His great purpose without contrast and choice in His creation, such as Bad and wickedness vs GOOD and righteousness. A physician would not receive any praise in his profession if he found no one sick. Neither would Yahweh be praised for the deliverance ‘from sin’ if no one had been lost ‘in sin’. Nothing can be accomplished without contrast. But the comforting thought is that Yahweh, by whom all things exist, is not only able but will transmute all Bad, wickedness, and sin into good. No wonder the Scriptures tell us, "For the wrath of mankind praises You Yahweh" (Psa.76: 10).
’Modern Christendom’ would have us believe the error, that the being called Satan was first created as an angel (messenger) then fell and lost his first estate. The book called, John says that he sinned from the beginning, (1 Jn. 3:8). This is false. If this adversary called Satan was created a messenger, and then fell without Yahweh’s knowledge, or even with his knowledge, attention or control as an independent act of his own will, would the inhabitants of heaven (or of the earth), ever be safe at any time, not knowing when one of the other messengers might of his own authority decide to become Bad, and destroy the whole of Yahweh’s plan and purpose? The answer is No, NEVER. We are told in the Scriptures to let Yahweh be true and every man a liar.
We must believe that Yahweh is operating the whole universe, all of His creation, and is in full control always directing each occurrence. Why should we try to shield Yahweh’s association with Bad, when it says, "Yahweh has made all for His purpose and also the wrong for the day of Bad" (Pro.16: 4). “forming the light and creating darkness, making peace and creating adversity, I, Yahweh, do all these" (Isa.45: 7).
Yahweh Creates Adversity (the bad)
The following verses show that Yahweh creates ADVERSITY, that he threatens people with Bad, and that he sends Bad among other things. As you read through these verses (and please don't skim quickly over them), note that these verses make it very clear that Yahweh is responsible for Bad, and not simply a passive bystander "allowing" Bad to happen. In the verses that follow, we have replaced the true name, Yahweh, for the English word "the LORD" and "Mighty-One” for the English word “God.”
We quote the first set of verses in several versions, because the newer translations try to soften the conflict by translating the Hebrew RA (Bad) as "disaster" or "woe" or "calamity." But it doesn't really matter what English word is used. The hideous effects are the same, and Yahweh claims responsibility for them all.
Some Biblical Definitions
Satan, from Hebrew, into Aramaic, into English means: an adversary or an opponent, the word can refer to angels, (messengers) that can be both human and celestial, to men, and also refer to Yahweh. It is not a personal name of someone, but a position one takes or holds.
Demons, Demonic, from the Greek “Diamon” the word means “to demonstrate” in English (to know or to distribute knowledge). See the close spelling of the word to English. In the Greek writings (New Testament), it is used of “bad” spirits, or the distribution of “bad” knowledge (not in any way a super natural spirit type), but the internal spirit (the breath) that comes from the words of the mouth of people with mental problems….!
Devil, devilish, from the Greek word “diabolos” it literally means, dia= through + bolos = to throw. It is where we get our English word “dia-meter” and the word “ball” from). In other- words a “through-thrower.” Translated into English it is like a slander, an accuser, or to malign someone. Many times these words devil and demons are mixed up, but a “diamon” is not a “diabolos.” The word Devil(s) in Hebrew usage refers to “idols” (they are simply man-made objects of wood metal or stone used for worship).
There is no such thing as a “Demonic realm,” There is only one realm, and that realm is under the complete control of the Almighty Sovereign Creator Power named Yahweh.
Isa 43:10 “You are my witnesses,” says Yahweh, “With my servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe me, and understand that I am he. Before me there was no Mighty-One formed, neither will there be after me.
Isa 43:11 I myself am Yahweh; and besides me there is no savior.
Isa 45:6…. that they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is no one besides me. I am Yahweh, and there is no one else.
The correct definition of the word Bad.
Bad – as commonly understood, is the antithesis of anything good or something of value. It is harmful, painful, undesirable, disapproved or contrary to any accepted purpose or ideal, especially to the moral or to the religious. Bad is wrong when it violates acceptable moral standards. Religious evil is sin when religious standards are violated. Bad however, is still a very relative term, because its meaning is dependent on the kind of good it appears negates or to exclude. Bad by humans can be perpetrated by learned behavior and is therefore also a subjective term. To the theist (a believer in a righteous God), evil is thought to be a moral sin, and explained by man’s natural freedom to choose. To the atheist, moral evil may simply be a poor choice that violates moral standards. But what is the Biblical answer to “Bad” when it is said to be created and used by the Almighty Himself?
EVIL – when used in many English Hebrew Bibles (many newer Bibles now use alternate words)

As can be seen from the Hebrew definition from the “Ancient Hebrew Lexicon” of the Bible, the root meaning of the word many English Bibles translate as “Evil” but in Hebrew it simply means “bad.” As used in the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible, and many other English translations, and many newer translations, the words: wickedness, wicked mischief, hurt, bad, trouble, sore, affliction, ill, adversity, favored??, harm, naught, noisesome, grievious, sad, shout, noise, aloud, are all “English” words used some 666 times for the very same Hebrew “root” word with the meaning of “bad.” But why? In Greek, the word is "KAK-ON," the meaning is the same as the Hebrew (the opposite of good) i.e. bad. But, the definition is to be distinguished from sin, in that it is not a mistake when Yahweh creates “bad” the Biblical English word when used by Yahweh has no moral tinge to it.
Bad – Bad is a word sometimes used to be synonymous with the modern word word “wicked” or “evil.” But it really means to deviate from acceptable standards of behavior and is the opposite of good. It is a very subjective word since behavior or acceptable standards change over time, as well as cultural standards. An action may appear to be bad even though the result of the act is intended for good. For example, punishment intended to correct unacceptable behavior may to the receiver appear to be bad, but by the administrator it is done with good intent; for example to correct bad behavior. There are many places in the Hebrew Bible, where Yahweh uses “bad” to correct behavior.
Does Isaiah 45:7 and other Bibles passages say that Yahweh (God) created evil?
Isaiah 45:7 in the KJV reads, “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD (Yahweh) do all these things.” So, is this correctly translated? NOT using the modern English definition. Yahweh does not create “Evil” (as commonly understood and defined in today’s English). Yahweh does however use and did create “bad.” Notice how the other newer major English Bible translations render the word KJV “evil.” For example, it’s “disaster” in the NIV, HCSB, it’s “calamity” in the NKJV, NAS, ESV, and it’s “woe” in the NRSV.
The Hebrew word can refer to moral bad, (in proper context) and it can have this meaning in correctly translated Hebrew Bibles. Unfortunately, our modern English has developed over some 2,500 years after paleo Hebrew, and the older Pictographic Hebrew, These early languages were all very simple very basic Languages, with limited written words. Modern Bible translators have the option to use a dozen new words to replace the Hebrew root word “bad” and they do. Because of these many new possibilities, should never assume that a translated word in any English Bible is “inspired” especially when it is confusing and does not appear to be reasonable. Yahweh “permits evil to exist” because He created man with the gift of a free will to choose, but it is man’s own developed heart that can use the gift of free will to choose and commits evil.
Isaiah 45:7 the word as used by some English Bible translations
NIV: I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and CREATE DISASTER; I, Yahweh, do all these things.
NASB: The One forming light and creating darkness, causing well being and CREATING CALAMITY; I am Yahweh who does all these.

NIV: Perhaps they will listen and each will turn from his Bad (Evil) way. Then I will relent and not bring on them the DISASTER I was planning because of the Bad (Evil) they have done.
NASB: "Perhaps they will listen and everyone will turn from his Bad (Evil) way that I may repent of the CALAMITY which I am planning to do to them because of the Bad (Evil) of their deeds.'

What about the Creation of Angels (messengers)?
Yahweh both used and sustains (both the positive and the negative) both good and bad, this also applies to angels, as well as to man and every other created thing in the universe. We will first concentrate on the negative side of the characteristics and purposes of angels 'messengers' (since in man's experience this is the most neglected because we almost always want to associate 'celestial' angels with "righteousness" and "goodness" and not the evil side of the angelic realm). But, in the Holy Scriptures, all of the verses of the Scripture that describe the actions of angels (no matter what type of angelic creatures are being discussed: cherubs, archangels and other distinctions), the negative attributes of angels are emphasized far more in the Scripture than their righteous characteristics. After all, we are told in no uncertain terms that the accuser is shown to have been created by Yahweh to be "a murderer from the beginning" — that is, from the very commencement of his creation he was already reckoned by Yahweh to be a murderer (John 8:44). Furthermore, he is called "a liar and the father of it [lying]" (also John 8:44). The last part of the verse means that Yahshua considered satan (adversary in the Hebrew) as the first one ever to tell a lie — that is, he was a lying murderer from the beginning of his existence. What we must realize is the fact that satan can do no more than Yahweh has determined for that angelic power to perform. Satan is completely dominated by (and even governed by) the will and commands of Yahweh the Father. Even though satan is a murderer and liar, satan can do no more that Yahweh allows him, or that Yahweh tells him to do (as in Job 1:6-12 and 2:1-6). And even if, on some occasions Yahweh does let the adversary touch our lives with evil, the outcome will always be to our benefit. The inspired Scriptures teach: "All things work together for good to them that love Yahweh, to them that are the called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28). We will always be the winners in the end, no matter what!
It is pure nonsense and decidedly anti-biblical to state (or even to believe) that the adversary (satan) was at first a righteous angel that somehow fell from grace after his creation. This false doctrine is normally taught by some theologians and preachers because they erroneously declare that satan is the anointed cherub who covered the Mercy Seat in the heavenly House of G-d as described in Ezekiel 28:11-19. That King of Tyre was another personality altogether. The truth is, the adversary was created and ordained to do his role as a murderer and to be the father of liars from his first spark of his life. That is the clear teaching of the Hebrew Bible. When he performs in this capacity, he is in fact doing Yahweh's will.
The Supreme Authority of Yahweh the Creator
Deuteronomy 10:14 "See, the heavens, and the heaven of heavens belong to Yahweh your Alueim, also the earth with all that is in it." TS
Deuteronomy 32:39 "See now that I, I am he, and there is no Alueim besides Me. I put to death and I make alive. I have wounded, and I heal. And from My hand no one delivers." TS
1 Samuel 2:6-8 "Yahweh puts to death and makes alive, He brings down to the grave, and raises up. Yahweh makes poor and makes rich, He brings low and lifts up, He raises the poor from the dust, He lifts the needy from the dunghill, to sit with princes, and make them inherit a throne of esteem." TS

Conclusion
The Scriptural citations given here are not a complete collection of all the passages available in the Bible, but are sufficient to show the intent of this article, that (a) Yahweh is the Creator of all that exists, and in complete control of all His Creation and, (b) As the Creator, Yahweh is the author of both good and BAD.
So you can see that the Hebrew Bible credits Yahweh with responsibility for BAD. Next time you hear of or personally see or experience a calamity or disaster, or woe, or any other kind of BAD, the biblical thing for you to do would be to credit Yahweh with it. Disease, starvation, natural catastrophes of all kinds are claimed by Yahweh. According to the Scriptures he often sends these pestilences out of revenge, or for correction, but sometimes he sends them for no apparent reason to us at all except his caprice.
The old Christian ruse that Yahweh simply "allows" BAD to happen cannot stand up to these Scriptural citations. For the Christian to deny this, he also has to deny the subject-verb grammar of Yahweh's "Word," which is said to have been inspired down to the detail of the individual words chosen by Him.
So, either the Scripture(s) are not inerrant, or Yahweh is indeed responsible for BAD, creating it and putting it to use regularly in accordance with his will, for His purpose! The false doctrine that there was a war in heaven between the Creator and his created creatures is just that, false doctrine.
The Creator is always in full control of his creation and all is in complete accord with His purpose.
Yes, the adversary(s), and the (opponent(s), satan(s) are created cunning and crafty, and could deceive the very household of Yahweh if possible. Yet they will never succeed in undoing anything that Yahweh has purposed to do.
In each instance where Yahweh told the Adversary(s) what to do, they obey. The Adversary (all the angels messengers) of Yahweh) are chosen and all subject to Yahweh the Creator. They can promote BAD, even destroy or kill, when directed by or for Yahweh (the Almighty Sovereign) at His direction and for His purpose only. All are absolutely at all times under the control of their Creator. All will begin or end in Yahweh’s appointed time, and all in complete accordance with His plan for Creation and the Universe.
